Your Life is a Garden

inspiration Nov 08, 2021
THE GARDEN OF LIFE

When our lives begin we set in an empty garden with rich and nourishing soil and limitless potential.

We are granted the possibility for anything and everything to grow.

A vast empty canvas for us to create our lives and our fullest expression of what we bring to the world.

Our gift is deeply planted within the garden, awaiting us to create a healthy and harmonious container so that it can take root and grow.

We also have deep-rooted ancestral seeds to teach us lessons and show us how to become master gardeners.

Yet, soon after birth, we learn that our garden is not quite perfect.

We are told by others that our garden is lacking and just not enough.

It’s to this or to that.

It’s not quite this or not quite that.

Our culture and society show us their beautiful displays and tell us, “you see, this is how it is done.”

They throw their seeds in our precious soil and we...

The Most Powerful Way to Create Health in Your Life and Community

“The shorter the chain between raw food and fork, the fresher it is and more transparent the system is.” Joel Salatin

Mother Nature provides humans everything they need to be healthy and heal.

It’s when humans think they know better and try to “outsmart” her is when they become the cause of their own demise.

Our policies allow neurotoxins and highly toxic chemicals to be used in and sprayed on our food.

Our country's population has never been more sick, and instead of helping our people improve their lifestyle and quality of life, we are told that pills and shots are the only answer.

BULLSHIT.

Evil and corrupt conglomerates profit from the dysfunction of the human body.

They profit from humanity not knowing their divine innate power.

They hide the truth and we cannot change anything from the top down.

We can only change these broken systems from the bottom up.

We...

My Poem to Humanity

conscious living poem Aug 30, 2021
I'm so grateful to be a conduit for this poem, it's called...

Wake up from your slumber.

Wake up from your slumber
Humanity
Tossing and turning
In insanity

Forces control you
Like puppets on strings
Do you not see
Only suffering it brings

Feeding you poison
Consuming the lies
Media bought by Darkness
Your programmed soul cries

Obey and be good
Do not ask
Shut your mouth
Put on your mask

Foolish obedience
Of the walking dead
The perfect breeding ground
For any virus to spread

Fluoride in your water
To dumb us down
Don’t think for yourself
Just follow the clowns

Risk my health
To take care of you
But isn’t that your job?
Or, are you responsible for me too?

Segregate and discriminate
Civil war is their goal
Turn the people upon themselves
This will ensure their control

Believe the lies
And live in hell
Or perhaps
There is another narrative to tell

Open your mind
Open your eyes
For through...

Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

hippie kitchen treats Aug 18, 2021

This is seriously such a divine treat and what's awesome is it's packed with nutrients.

I love sweets, so my strategy isn't to deny myself but to create desserts that are not only satisfying and delicious but nourishing as well.

The beautiful thing about this recipe is the whole family will love it!!

Chia seeds are:

  • Packed with antioxidants
  • Have tons of fiber
  • Contain protein
  • Have Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Great source of calcium, phosphorus, and Zinc!

All of the above help lower inflammation and give the body the building blocks it needs to do what it is supposed to do, keep you alive and healthy!

What's even better is when you soak chia seeds they become gelatinous and can even help prevent dehydration. Soaking them also helps rid their digestive inhibitors (all seeds have these). So basically they are better for your digestive system and are SO good for helping regulate bowel movements.

This recipe also has tons of healthy fats and magnesium, from the cacao! You...

Classic Basil Pesto

Pesto is packed with one of my favorite herbs, basil!

This beautiful green herb offers the body many benefits as it is:

  • anti-inflammatory
  • contains lots of antioxidants
  • supports our immune system
  • helps reduce pain
  • helps prevent diabetes
  • can protect the liver

It can also provide protection against bacteria growth and has been shown to inhibit resistant strains of bacteria!

I try and include as many herbs as possible in my diet, as they not only provide us tons of health benefits, but they add flavor and depth to almost any dish!

One of the main things I do to stay on track is to make things in advance for hangry Becky that tend to show up once in a while.

I absolutely love dips like hummus, pesto, and guacamole, as they can be made in advance and devoured with cut-up veggies and gluten-free crackers.

This pesto recipe can also be combined with spiralized zucchini noodles, grain-free pasta, or mixed into sauteed veggies or added to a marinara...

Buckwheat Porridge

Did you know that buckwheat isn’t wheat… it’s a seed.

So crazy, I know :)

This naturally gluten-free seed is nutrient-dense and is high both in protein and fiber. #boom

Buckwheat seeds, also called “groats” are packed with nutrients and antioxidants and are often referred to as a “superfood”.

They are also a high source of amino acids, vitamins, minerals all with relatively few calories.

What else do you need in life?!

This high fiber and easily digestible food can be made into a yummy porridge to mix up your breakfast.

I always recommend mixing up what you eat!

Just like I do in my oatmeal, I always add an egg, or two, to this porridge a few minutes before it's done.

The egg(s) make it fluffy and adds protein! Our bodies love and need protein and adding healthy protein will keep you satiated longer!

Okay, let’s do this.

BUT FIRST! SOAK YOUR BUCKWHEAT!!

Oh and always source organic...

Veggie Infused Marinara & Grass-Fed Meat Balls

One thing I love about marinara & meatballs… is that the WHOLE family enjoys it.

It's an easy dish to batch cook, make in large quantities, to feed us a couple of meals. This is my top tip to eating healthy.

When you are making a healthy meal, make more of it to bless your future self with leftovers.

Kids tend to take time trying new foods., at least mine do… especially those with LOTS of veggies!

I make this to accompany a yummy clean pasta, grilled sourdough bread, spiralized zucchini noodles, or top on the top of steamed veggies!

I always douse it with tons of high-quality parmesan cheese too! Yummy!

I add lots of veggies! You can pick and choose what you like, but garlic, onions, and peppers are never optional in my mind :)

A little tip I love to share too is that you can blend, using a blender or immersion blender, up to 1/2 of the mixture so a thicker texture.

Let’s do this.

How to Eat Healthier on a Budget

Uncategorized Apr 06, 2021

If there was ONE thing we could all do to make our lives healthier, saner, and create less work, it would be meal planning!

Getting back in the kitchen is key... and if you want to save money, then meal planning is the path that will take you there.

Meal planning and prepping is an important part of creating healthy meals, saving money, and minimizing food waste… but it can also be overwhelming.

Trust me, I get it!

However, spending a little extra time to plan and prep meals can actually help you feel less overwhelmed throughout your entire week.

There are so many benefits to meal planning.

Some of the amazing benefits to meal planning are:

  • Meal variety!
  • Saves you money.
  • You eat healthier.
  • Helps prevent food waste.
  • Preserves your sanity!
  • You and the family know what’s for dinner!

All of these benefits are AMAZING! Many of us were never taught to meal plan or even how to cook our own meals! This is...

Top Tips For Healthy Juicing

Growing up I always loved a big glass of orange juice for breakfast alongside my favorite Captain Crunch or Cocoa Puffs bowl of cereal.

It was the way I began almost every morning before school.

The weekends were made for chocolate chip pancakes in the form of animals and a side of bacon... also accompanied by my big glass of orange juice.

I was always craving juice.

That quick sugar rush was what my body had learned to expect... but when juice wasn't around, soda was.

I stopped drinking so much juice when I picked up the habit of drinking soda.

Soda delivered the sugar my body craved and became my drink of choice.

When I was in high school the group I wanted so much to be apart of took soda drinking to a whole new level... they coupled it with camel wide cigarettes.

I was so grown up.

Drinking my soda and puffing on my cigarettes.

I was so cool.

Now, I'm not implying that orange juice is a gate-way drug... but for me it...

How to Make Homemade Nut / Seed Milk

Once you taste homemade nut milk, you will NEVER buy synthetic vitamin, carrageen infused, and chemical-laden nut milk again.

There’s just no turning back.

It’s SO easy and absolutely delicious… It takes a little foresight since soaking the nuts/seeds with a little bit of sea salt is an important step in the creation of this nut/seed juice. So think ahead and make it happen.

I switch up the types of nuts (or seeds I use)… as using the same nut/seed milk over a long period of time can build an intolerance to it.

So I highly recommend mixing it up!

My favorite nuts/seeds are (all organic and raw):

  • Brazil nuts
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Pistachios (kinds pricey)
  • Tiger Nuts
  • Hemp Seeds
  • Flax Seeds
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Hazelnuts

Quick note when using cashews: When cashews are soaked for over 8 hours they become very soft. When pulverized they leave very little (if any) nut “flour” behind. This makes it so that straining isn’t...
